[Birth Control] Aviane as substitute for Alesse

My doctor just prescribed Alesse. I'm starting the pill again after several years without taking it. I previously took ortho tri-cyclen, but had bad nausea and sometimes vomiting.

My insurance company substituted Aviane, which I read only got approval this past May, so I'm a little apprehensive. Since I've never taken Alesse, I won't even know if Aviane works the same.

Has anyone had experience switching from Alesse to Aviane?

What is the medical opinion about the two being interchangeable?
