The procedure was painful and I had to stay in bed the next day due to pain and dizziness. I had discomfort and tenderness in my uterus for two or three days, then it seemed to get better. I had been fine for about a week, had had intercourse with minor spotting, but nothing serious. However yesterday after having intercourse the night before I began to feel like I did after insertion. Not pain per se, but an over all tenderness of the uterus, and a bloated or swollen feeling in the uterine area. I wanted to know if these are common sypmtoms after insertion, and if with time the tenderness factor goes away. I have not had any other symptoms, no dizziness or nausea, no fever, and no spotting in the last few days.
