OrthoTricyclen has ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate. OrthoCyclen has the same medication and is the same dose as the last week of OrthoTriCyclen. Ovcon has ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone.

As far as what pill to choose, the newer pills have been doing very well with respect to minimizing side effects. Yasmin, Levlite, Alesse and LoEstrin would be good choices to start as we do in my practice. You may find a good pill for you or you may find all pills cause you moodiness.
