OrthoTricyclen has ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate. OrthoCyclen has
the same medication and is the same dose as the last week of
OrthoTriCyclen. Ovcon has ethinyl estradiol and norethindrone.
As far as what pill to choose, the newer pills have been doing very well
with respect to minimizing side effects. Yasmin, Levlite, Alesse and
LoEstrin would be good choices to start as we do in my practice. You
may find a good pill for you or you may find all pills cause you
moodiness.
Hope this helps and write back anytime for more information.
