This causes the liver to make more of a hormone called sex hormone binding globulin(SHBG). SHBG binds with testosterone and lowers the level of FREE testosterone in the blood. This is what helps acne. Yasmin has a diferent progestin than all the others. It is not derived from a testosterone like substance. Therefore it is supposed to work better than the others.
