Endometriosis/Retroverted UterisFrom: BJ (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 31 Jul 2001 21:36:22 -0500 (CDT)
I have two questions. Ever since i lost my virginity about 2 years ago, every time i had sex, it felt like my boyfriend was hitting something. I thought maybe it was just me because i'm a tiny 100lb girl. About two months ago, it was really bad and i started bleeding everytime i had sex also. I finally went to the Gyno. She told me i had at retroverted uteris or tilted uteris. She didn't explain much about it to me, except that that is what my boyfriend was hitting, and different positions would hurt less. I was wondering, if anyone could give me any insight on this. Why it happens, does it cause any complications in getting or staying pregnant, is there any operation or anything to fix it, does it need fixing? Just things like that. My other question is about endometriosis. When i went to the gyno, i figured while i was there, i would ask about the awful pain i had during my period. Birth control pills made them somewhat bearable, but not completely. If i'm off the pill and get my period,i'm in bed for two days. She told me there is a possibility of endometriosis, and to go home, wait two months and see if the pills don't help anymore, she consider checking into that. My question about this is, WHAT IS IT? Thanks for anyone who can help me. I really appreciate it. BJ
