I am trying to find a Dr. for my mother. She lives a rural area an hour outside of K.C.and has only seen one physician for the last 15 years.

I a verrrry concerned about her diagnosis. She has had a history of cysts and fibroids, since she was 12 she is now 42 she has 5 children and had her tubes tied after the 5th one in 1983. (her medical history also includes an apendectomy, ulcertive colitis and two miscarriages)

This spring the doc. told her she was going thru menopause, but she was still on birth to regulate her periods. (sounded a bit strange) Now she went to the ER after she passed out at work, and the discovered she had a fibroid "explode" and from the CT and tranvag. u/s have determined there are muliple cyst on each ovary and possible polps are her colon.

Things just do not sound right! I think she needs to see a specialst. I live in Omaha and know of a few here, but her insurance would not cover that. She has been reffered to someone named Van Bur--- at St. Joseph hospital in K.C. he is gyn surgen ... I really think she has been through enough and just want to find a good doctor who can help her!

Anyone who knows a good gynie in the K.C. area who can grant my wish for a healthy (happy) mom please let me know.
