Pregnancy Crisis

I'm 38 weeks pregnant and have used Betadine as an external vaginal wash throughout my pregnancy not knowing this could potentially harm my baby with the iodine and possible affect it's thyroid. I am very concerned and my gyno says to make sure the baby's thyroid and iodine levels are tested once born by pediatrician. Did you ever hear or know of patients who have had similar problems? Once the baby is born, what test will be done to detect this? If they detect a problem right away, what medicine will the baby take? What are the chances the baby will be ok? Please let me know. This is for my peace of mind. I feel better with as much knowledge as I can get. Thanks
