first visit/appt w/family doc? Reply: William McIntosh, MD: "Re: first visit/appt w/family doc?" i'm going on my first "exam" in a few days and have a few questions, hoping they could be answered as soon as possible. i'm 21 and have never had any exam of the sort so i'm extremely nervous. 1)i made the appt. with my family physician because i grew up with her as my dr. and the secretary told me she performs paps, etc. was this a wise choice or should i cancel and go to a ob-gyn? 2)how do i calm down these jitters for my appt? i'm a virgin and well, shy about showing all to my doc. if you could, please e-mail me back because i don't think i'll be able to revisit the site soon. thank you so much!
