OPK test question-trying to maximize number of high fertility daysFrom: danielle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 31 Jul 2001 10:09:55 -0500 (CDT)
I have been using the OPK and it shows faint lines on days 10 & 11 and a very dark line (darker then reference line) on day 12,so I believe day 12 is my surge. Question is that test says best time to conceive is 24-36 hours after seeing this surge line on day 12. However that gives you such a short window of only 1 1/2 days at most before ovulation. With the knowledge of knowing that it's possible to conceive 5 days up to and including ovulation and with my cycles being pretty regular, is it ok to use those faint lines as guidance that ovulation is impending and to have sex every other day beginning on day 8? Or should my husband rest up and only do it on the day 12 so sperm count is real high?
