[Birth Control] yet another question on BCPs - 'safe' period

Hi, I've been reading the posts in the archive and they've generally been helpful but I have a question on when it is "safe" to have unprotected sex.

I have just finished my first pack which I began on the first day of my period. My period ended up lasting for 14 days, which I was told was simply due to my body adjusting to the bcp. I have completed the 21-day pack and have no sign of bleeding yet. From the posts in the archive, I realise that some women don't bleed at all, or very little, in between packs. My question is whether it's safe to have unprotected sex (from pregnancy, that is during this period. I seem not to have suffered any other side effects in the meantime.

Sorry if this is kind of a silly question. I'm new to BCPs.

Thank you for your time.
