Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Lower left abdominal pain and urgency" For the past two months, I have been experiencing extreme urgency. This is usually worse immidiately after sex and especially at night. I have not slept well as a result. Over the past week, I have been experiencing lower left abominal pain, between the hip area -- i only assume this may be where an ovary is? In any case, I have taken macrobid for a UTI, to no avail and currently use uristat just to sleep through the night. In addition, I have been on the pill for 10 years -- I took a break for about three months this year due to a reoccuring yeast infection. I have resumed taking the pill. Could this be a ovarian cyst causing the bladder pressure? Or can this be something more serious? I am 26 years old, and very concerned! Thank you.
