Montgomery, MD: "Re: Ortho-Tricyclen -- Forgot to take pill for 2 days during critical time" My fiancee and I had unprotected sex this past Thursday night (13 days into her monthly cylce). However, on Friday and Saturday thereafter, she forgot to take her pills (for the first time ever after 2 years on ortho). On Sunday, she took the two missed pills plus the pill for Sunday and has been taking one pill a day since (it is now wednesday). We are very concerned that she might have gotten pregnant since sperm can live inside for 3-6 days (so we've heard). What are the chances that she might be pregnant? SYMPTOMS: On Saturday, she started to spot dark brown sometimes, pinkish other times. This spotting lasted until Monday, the day after she took the 3 pills.
