I had a pelvic exam today, and have a 'black point' on my cervix. My doctor didn't elaborate, but said that after the results of my pap smear come back, I'll have to schedule another appointment to have it removed. The tone in her voice, and her use of the phrase "I dont like the looks of that" have me anxious!! What am I likely to be dealing with here? I'm 41 years old, and otherwise in good health. No history of STD's, one pregnancy 13 years ago, and have used only abstinance for birth control for the past 10 years. Before that, I used the diaphram, and the pill during my 20's.
