I've had several patients try progesterone cream for a variety of reasons and unfortunately, all have been "disappointed" with the lack of results anticipated.

The reason for randomized controlled trials, double blind, is that menopausal complaints specifically, have a 40% placebo response - meaning that if you give women placebos, 40% will get "relief" from menopausal symptoms.

With endometrial thickening, presumably a hyperplasia without atypia, prgestational agents (Prometrium, Provera, etc.) have been shown to be quite effective.

Hope this helps and write back anytime for more information.
