adnomyosis/adneomyosis

My doctor first thought I had fibroids, but after numerous tests, it was determined that I have adnomyosis or is it adneomyosis? I was told a hystorectomy would be the only cure. However, I elected to try birth-control pills as a temporary alternative.

In the mean time, I have read information on my condition. Including the fact that if I take the pill, I would have increase pain during my period. This is where I get confused, I have never had any type of pain during my period even before the diagnosis. While the pill has help with the heavy bleeding and some clotting (I've gone from having to change pads every 15-20 mins. to approximately an hour in between changes)the length of my cycle is very irregular. I can have a period 11 days after the last or sometimes up to 35 days will pass. I sometime will bleed for up to 15 days in a row. I have spotting also....usually its old blood (brownish) that may last 5 before or after the cycle.

My question is, since I've never experience any pain, is it possible that I don't have adnomyosis? If so, what else could it be? Or is possible that my condition has improved? Also, during the end of one cycle (5th day), I passed a clot that was the size of an enlish muffin( for lack of better description)after which, I had no more bleeding during that cycle. What was that?
