I have been bleeding for 2 weeks now. The night I started bleeding, my husband and I had intercourse and both of us thought we felt him hitting something upon deep penetration. I started bleeding right after sex and haven't stopped--it's been like a moderate to heavy period. Normally, I would call my doctor, but I am on vacation and won't be home for another week and a half. I have had prolonged bleeding before--last time it lasted 5 weeks before I went to the ER because I was passing clots the size of eggs (This was 2 years, I got preganant 4 months later so bleeding wasn't a problem). I am 10 months pp and this is only my second "period" (I was bf). Do I need to see a doctor now or can it wait until I get home? What causes this bleeding? Did I injure something during intercourse? I am only 25, but my mother had uterine cancer when she was my age and I am terrified of that possiblity. What can a doctor do to help me?
