there are prescription medications, specifically the SSRI class of antidepressants, that are FDA approved to treat PMS (or its cousin PMDD)

I have an appointment to see my Doctor on Monday. I do appreciate >any help you may provide.

and that is exaclty what you need to do --your doctor may wnat you to keep a symptom diary for a couple of months before PMS can be definitively diagnosed
