Colposcopy & Biopsy

I have had two abnormal paps in 6 months. I have been referred to see an OB/GYN from my primary care physician. The nurse told me today to expect colposcopy and biopsy. She told me to take motrin before my visit. I am terrified. I've read so many horror stories about the pain. Can anyone tell me any positive experiences???? I have a very low tolerance for pain, do you think they can give me something to numb the pain or at least calm me down before the procedure. I am going out of my mind with fear! Thank you.
