Vaginal dischargeFrom: Julie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 12 Jul 2001 01:37:28 -0500 (CDT)
At aroutine examination last Oct/Nov my doctor suggested I had thrush- so took over the counter remedy. When i went for a smear test- it came back as inadequate- so I went back again and the nurse suggested there seemed to be a lot of mucous and that I may have pelvic inflammatort disease and gave me 2 lots of strong antibiotics- and suggested if the discharge was still there I may be referred for a colposcopy. Swabs were taken too- yielding negative results for chlamidya and bacteria.I do have a consistent discahrge- does this mean that the nurse suspects cancer? ( the nurse realised that all my smear testa since 1992 had been inadequate. Please help. Thanks Julie
