The majority of irritations as you describe are secondary to some form of allergic reaction. First however, one must be assured that there is no infection associated. Once this is done, then the only way to determine if one of the entities that comes in contact with the vulva is causing an allergic reaction is to begin eliminating possibilities, one by one. First look for things that are new (i.e. soaps, laundry detergents, shampoos, lotions, undergarmets) Then begin to eliminate the not-so-new things... Lynn
