Re: 16mth post op from TAH/BSO - recurring adhesions? -GidgeFrom: D.N. (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 10 Jul 2001 13:10:46 -0500 (CDT)
Hi Gidge, Is your pain cyclical at all or constant on a daily basis like you mention? I am wondering because if you have a bit of ovary left, it can keep the endo going and the pain. I have had a TAH/LSO and subsequent RSO. They could not get all of my right ovary out and now I have ORS (ovarian remnant syndrome). My endo is still a problem when I have a cycle. I also have pain from adhesions. Also, I am wondering why the doc put you on BCPs for hormone replacement. They are much stronger than regular hormone replacement. Did you go on these right after your TAH/BSO? I am wondering if the estrogen is causing you to have recurrent pain from endo? Did they see any endo during your last surgery in January? Have you ever had blood work while you were not on HRT to see where your estradiol and FSH levels are? This might not pertain to you at all, but when I read your post, these ideas came to mind. I hope this info helps. Best wishes,
-- D.N.
