Hi there I am 16mths post op from TAH/BSO....in January of this year my gyn went in and removed adhesions from my pelvic side wall to my "omentum" because of very bad pelvic pain, especially with bowel movements, intercourse and any major activity. A month after that they had to go in and remove some necrotic tissue from my original hyst. incision.

My pain was good for 3mths and now it's returned with a vengence. I should mention that my hyst was done because of undiagnosed uterine bleeds, recurring ruptering ovarian cysts and endometriosis. I am 35 and am allergic to soy so am using birth control pill for hrt. My gyn is on maternity leave and her partner has referred me to a gastroenterologist because she feels it's now a "bowel thing" even tho' the pain is the same as it was prior to the lap when they removed the adhesions. It hurts on my right side and moves down my right side to my incision and across to my left side...at this point it becomes unbearable and it feels like everything is being pulled every which way......this happens several times a day.

Can a GI dr help me with this? Shouldn't they just send me to a general surgeon? What might the GI dr do? I see him this week. Please dr's help?
