To any Doctor who may be reading this....please read the response (at the very bottom)from Dr. von Almen. Am I correct in understaning his comments as saying that if I am symptom-free for several months that the chances for immunity from types of genital warts that I had removed is good? ~j

But because the first surgery did not completely remove one wart, I had to go back on 6/5/2001 and have the procedure repeated. Since then, they have not returned. My question is about immunity to HPV/condyloma, is there such a thing? I have not had another break out since the sucessful removal, so I am wondering if maybe my system has built up an immunity. I know that immunity only means I will be safe against only the types of warts that I have had.
