Pregnancy and No appetiteFrom: Jamie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 7 Jul 2001 00:50:27 -0500 (CDT)
I'm currently about 15 weeks pregnant. I have lost a total of about 20 lbs so far since I first found out that I was pregnant, approximately about 12 weeks ago. My doctor has given me suppositories for nausea because of the weight loss but I still seem to have no appetite or very little appetite. When should I begin to be concerned about not having an appetite and is there anything I can do to increase my appetite so that I might eat more and feel better. I've also experienced problems with depression, but that is something I've had problems with for years. I went off Celexa in order to conceive in January. My appetite seems to have decreased since that point and seems to have gotten worse lately. I had a sonogram done at about 10 weeks along and the doctor told me at my last visit that it turned out perfectly fine, and that the baby seemed to be perfect size for how far along I am. Should I be concerned or will my appetite eventually increase?
