effectiveness & side effects of postponing period with Ortho Tri-Cyclen

Hi,

I am planning on doing some travelling during the summer and would to postpone my period on two occassions, once in mid-July and once in mid-September. I am currently taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen and have calculated how I can do it by taking double weeks of pills. (i.e. take two weeks of Pill 1, two weeks of Pill 2, two weeks of Pill 3, and then the placebos so you get your period on week 7.)

However, my concern is how effective is this method if you do it two times in a row and are there any health side effects I should be aware of? Can you continue to do this always, therefore reducing the number of periods you'll ever have?

Thank you! :)
