Pregnant With a Period?

I have been taking the Pill for about 5 years and have never missed a day. The other night (Sunday) I went to the emergency room with a burning urethra. The doctor took a pregnancy test (blood serum) to make sure that I wasn't pregnant before putting me on antibiotics. Since I am on the Pill, I was very surprised to find that the results were positive. My period was scheduled to begin Tuesday morning - as it always does because I am on the Pill. My period began as usual and I am still having it. (It normally ends on Sunday - and since everything is normal, I expect it to end Sunday.) I took a home pregnancy test (EPT) on Friday, and it was negative. Is there a chance that the blood test was wrong? The doctor said that the results are very accurate, but I don't think that I am pregnant. Could I still be pregnant even though I am having a normal period? Any response you can give me will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
