I have a Recto-Vaginal fistula that my surgeon and gyn recommend I get a specilist for. I have an issue with time. If I'm not out of work for this ongoing problem within 90 days I lose my long term disability. The 90 days are up at the 3rd week of July. The two specialist we (Dr and I) are not available in time. One is a Gyn and the other is a Colon and Rectal Surgeon. My question is which type of surgeon is the best for this kind of surgery and how do I go about finding 'the best'? I live in the Tampa Bay Region of Florida and would be willing to go anywhere my insurance would allow - basically - Florida.
