FibroidsFrom: Marcella (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 27 Jun 2001 09:22:20 -0500 (CDT)
I am 50 years old and have had an ovarian re-section when I was 28 Then I had two C-sections, tubal ligation and several laprascopys for different reasons I started having pain in my right side and ended up having a pelvic ultrasound. My Dr. tells me that I had a cyst that had ruptured and that a rather large fibroid is pressing against my bladder causing me to visit the ladies room frequently. When asked what we could do about that, she said surgery. I would like to know if there is a way to have a hysterectomy with my history that would be less severe as an abdomianl incision. I have since called her back and told her that I would like to go ahead with the surgery. Any Suggestions? One other thing I forgot to mention; after the ultrasound I then had a period. I haven't had one in two years. I really don't know what is going on. I was on Prempro up untill that time.
