Possibly. Cervicitis can spring up quickly, so a normal Pap and exam 4 months ago would not necessarily mean you do not have cervicitis now.

Often no. It just takes a little area on the cervix to become irritated or bleed after trauma (hitting the lower vagina when jogging or having a bowel movement, having the penis hit it during intercourse, etc). >

Usually menopause causes lighter periods. And, because you have had a biopsy done during your D&C, it's very unlikely you have hyperplasia or cancer of the uterus.

I'll place a $5 bet on cervicitis! By the way, I have a favor. It's very difficult to read all CAPS online. It's tough on the eyes, and the doctors here (and, to be honest, most folks on the Internet) would prefer regular typing. Good luck with your visit; I hope it's uneventful.
