Re: A Question for the MD's/was fiancee's recent gyn exam

Thank you, Drs. Hill and Montgomery for your replies. Since I have never been asked by any MD what I thought of his/her practices, I would venture that my input would be less welcomed than in a practice that utilizes such customer satisfaction forms. I had this discussion with my dear friend who recommended her GYN **very** highly. Another friend had told her ".. but he treats you differently than he treats me" and I agreed that was probably true but with good reason; they had been through some very tough times together and developed quite an (appropriate) affection for each other. But I feel if I asked for changes in his routine, as he does for her, I would receive *quite* a different reaction. I don't want to rock the boat or make and uncomfortable situation even more so. So what I consider first is to search again (sigh) for a doctor who's initial beliefs are more compatible with mine without asking for adjustments to the other's established routine. I am highly impressed that Dr. Hill asks for and considers the opinions of his patients. That shows a degree of caring that, in my experience, is FAR above the norm. Too bad he is across the country, or he would definitely be on the shortest list as would the rest of the docs on the forum.

Thanks Again,
