Mike, If I was asked to be completely naked during a gynecological exam I would probably walk out! My doc asks me to only remove the clothes on my lower half, and gives me a paper sheet to drape over myself. She doesn't take that off during the exam, just moves it enough so she can do her stuff. For the breast exam I just lift my shirt and bra. As for you going along... I'm sure that doesn't happen much unless the couple is expecting, but gees, in this case I can see why your fiancee wanted you to come along! Poor thing. As if it's not bad enough without lying there completely naked! It's nice that you went to keep her company during such an ordeal (by the way, my doc does the whole thing in less than fifteen minutes - not 35!). (Personally I would rather my husband NOT come with me, and he never has.) Sounds creepy. Get a new doc.
