Trying to conceive and spotting during luteal phaseFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Jun 2001 06:35:08 -0500 (CDT)
I have heard a woman needs at least a ten day luteal phase in order for implantation of an embryo to occur. But what if she spots during her luteal phase? For example, a woman has a ten day luteal phase, but usually has spotting beginning on, say, the sixth day of her LP - are her chances of successfully conceiving lowered? or the same as if she had no spotting at all? What about her chances of miscarrying? Curious for myself, and a number of other women I know with the same problem. We have heard mixed opinions. Thank-you!
