shortened periods???

Hi, I have a question that may seem silly but I'm hoping I can get some reassurance. My periods have been fairly regular since my first one at age 10. They usually came every 28-32 days and lasted 4 and a half days each time. Last fall my roommate in college went on birth control and completely regulated me with those phermones! :) This is fine, however for the past three months my periods have become increasingly short and light. This month it lasted barely 2 days and was extremely light. Obviously I'm not complaining, but it has me slightly worried. Could this signal a problem? Should I make an appointment with my doctor? Thanks for your help! amy
