Hair Loss, Hormones, and ClomidFrom: Accepting (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 18 Jun 2001 22:22:38 -0500 (CDT)
When I was 23, my hair thinned dramatically on top of my head - all at once. I also started getting cystic acne, which still plagues me, and overwhelming PMS. My sister has the same exact thing, except it started for her when she was 16, and it was much worse (the hair thinning). Both of us could not conceive on our own, but both of us got pregnant on Clomid. I am positive that we have some type of hereditary hormone problem, but what could it be? Could we be treated? My sister was tested for a bunch of things (incl. increased testosterone), but no problem could be found. I've only been tested for thyroid. Help! Thanks, doctors.
