A question about skin in my vagina-what is it?

Good evening everyone,

I had checked the archives to see if I could find what I'm looking for in regards to the question that I'm about to ask and I can't find it.

I have a piece of skin that runs from the top of my vagina all the way toward my cervix. On either side of this piece of skin I can place my fingers I can feel the bones that make up the pubic/pelvic area.

I'm getting concerned about this skin (yes when I touch it too I can also feel one of the bones) b/c I think that it is growing. The growth isn't rapid but I don't know if this might be related to the PCOS. What I need to know is this: What is the exact name of this skin?

I saw a pic at obgyn.net that I think was of what I'm trying to describe but I can't be for sure b/c of it being a side view. In the pic when I saw the area of the cervix and the vagina I saw something that said "endocervix". What does that mean?

Is it common for that piece of skin to grow? I did tell my dr a while back that sometimes when it hurts it has caused me some nausea (not lately thankfully). When I described it to her she said something about it being related to my uterosacral ligaments.

Here's the link to the pic that I'm talking about: http://www-medlib.med.utah.edu/WebPath/FEMHTML/FEM084.html. I'm not even sure if this is what I'm talking about.

I would appreciate any info on this. Also if it is should I be concerned about this b/c it is growing?

Thank you for your time.
