Heavier periods with fatigue

The past few months, it seems like my periods have gotten heavier and I am incredibly tired a couple days before and during my period. I am needing super tampons for the first time ever while on the pill. It seems like I'm having more pain (not unbearable, just aggravating) than I have normally had on the pill (off the pill is AWFUL!). Last night, I had trouble biking because of the crampiness in my thighs.

I'm taking Ortho-tri-cyclen for nearly a year and have been on BCP's most of my adult life (except while pregnant and breastfeeding). I'll be 31 this fall.

Is this just normal "over 30" menstrual changes? Is the overwhelming fatigue common during your period? I hate to think how miserable I'd be off the pill right now. Any possible solutions? Or is this one of those "deal with it" situations?

Thx, A
