PLEASE help!From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 11 Jun 2001 09:26:19 -0500 (CDT)
Hi everyone. I hope to God someone can help me with this one. My doctor.. (who never ceases to surprise me with his blank look when not knowing an answer) can't answer this for me. In Jan I had a pap done by my RE that came back abnormal. Right after that I went to my gyn and had him to another STD and infection check because my cervical mucus or discharge had changed. It has an odor, and there is alot of it, a different color than it once was. I knew something was going on but I didn't know what. I was told at that time by my GP that my pap for infections came back fine. Today I requested a copy of that infection pap. It says: Specimen adequacy: Specimen is satifactory for evaluation Microscopic Findings: Groups of "KERATINIZED ANUCLEATE SQUAMES" present.. then a BIG question mark beside it written by my doctor on the lab report. Diagnosis: withing normal limits. Now, what does "KERATINIZED ANUCLEATE SQUAMES present" mean? I know something is going on. I hope I am not over reacting here but can anyone explain this to me? I am angry that while spending thousands of dollars on infertility treatment, that no one pointed this fact out to me. I hope someone can help Thanks AC
