Linda, Anybody that develops abnormal bleeding at the age of 40 and over, needs an evaluation, including an endometrial biopsy. The reason is that this is when the prime time for uterine cancers begins. Fortunately, most of the time it does not mean cancer, but it could and the possibility must be ruled out... Lynn
