Perimenopause or Pregnancy???From: Sandi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 2 Jun 2001 09:09:50 -0500 (CDT)
I am 42 years old. I am not sure if I am starting perimenopause or what. I sure could use some advice. My cycles most of the time are 24 days. Sometimes 23, sometimes 25, but mostly 24. Well so far I am 3 days late with my period and this whole week have been nauseous and queasy and extremely tired. My breasts are a little bit sore and I have mild on and off cramping. This happens sometimes before I get my period. My husband had a vasectomy last year. I took 2 home preg. tests and both came out negative. I do know that when I was pregnant with my two children those tests came out positive on the first day of my missed period. Do you think what I am experiencing is hormonal changes? I am getting very nervous. I know that sometimes vasectomies do not work, but what are the chances that I am pregnant? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you. Sandi
