Kelly Shanahan, MD, : "Re: abdominal discomfort and no period" I wrote in yesterday about not getting my period in week four of my BCP pack, which I've been on for a year now. I have been experiencing some mild discomfort in the lower abdominal area, some pressure and I've also noticed a strong ammonia smell in my urine at times (though not often) during the last week or two. Could I have a bladder infection and could this or anything else account for not getting my period on the pill? I'm really hoping I'm not pregnant!!!
