Weight and Body FatFrom: AM (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 1 Jun 2001 01:09:38 -0500 (CDT)
My baby is 11 months old and nurses 3-4 times a day. I stopped taking NorQD about two weeks ago. I have not had a period, last one being October 2, 1999. I have not been dieting, but I do lack healthy eating habits. And old habits are hard to change. I "skip" solid meals sometimes, but not to lose weight. Various other reasons (time, schedule, work, etc). Anyways, I am 5'6" and came up 113-lbs on the scale a few weeks ago. According to tables, a woman with a medium build (using thumb & index finger wrapped around the wrist=6"), I should weigh at least 130-lbs. I was a little freaked at 113, and have gained 1-2 lbs. I don't see my body as being excessively thin, but am I? I do take a multi-vitamin. At what weight will my hormones and body be affected? How does this affect my breastmilk? Thanks.
