Premature Menopause Since the Age of 16 and Birth Control-Need AnswersFrom: Sheila (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 30 May 2001 20:31:40 -0500 (CDT)
I was diagnosed at the age of 16 as having premature menopause. The only way I get my period is through taking birth control. I am 25 now and over the years I have been taking the pill on and off because I feel horrible, I bloat my acne is out of control and I have nausea. I have tried many different types of birth control and the same symptoms happen. I need help because I want to know what else I can do and is there something to help women with premature menopause to have children. I am also a diabetic and have been told this may be a cause to the premature menopause, could this be the case? Without taking the pills regularly I am doing damage to my body. I want to get this mess all sorted out, I am desperate. Can anyone give me information and hope. I want to be healthy and to have children.
