Non-cyclic breast tenderness..From: AMD (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 27 May 2001 00:18:25 -0500 (CDT)
The past couple weeks, the outside edges of my breasts (up under the armpit) have becom much more tender. This soreness is worse in the mornings and reminds me of the soreness/engorgement I had in the mornings while breastfeeding my son. He's been weaned for over a year now and I haven't had any problems since. And the right side seems to be more tender than the left. I am 31-years-old, taking ortho-tri-cyclen and had what seemed like a normal period last week (maybe a little shorter than normal, but heavy enough to require a super tampon). So I presume I'm not pregnant. I have actually cut back considerably on my caffeine over the past couple months, and this seems different than fibrocystic tenderness. Any ideas? How long do I give this before calling up the doc? Thanks, A.
