This sounds like a classic case of Sciatica. It is caused by pressure on the Sciatic nerve. It is usually worse in the left leg (so I read.) I had this in my second pregnancy & could barely walk. I saw a chiropractor for this & got enough relief to get by (I did not go in every week as he advised). I have read recently that accupunture is very effective.
