Celestone

I am a new mother of a 6 week old baby boy. Back when I was in my 30th week, I received 2 shots of Celestone (one at 9:00am the other at 9:00pm). I was told there were no side effects to this drug. I was given this drug because I was experiencing contractions at an early stage. Anyway, upon my birth, I had really planned on breast feeding my little one. I tried for 2 weeks & nothing was coming in. Since then, I have spoken to another mother with the same problem - shot at 29 weeks & after 6 weeks, she couldn't breastfeed either. She looked into this shot further & found out that was one of the side effects. Being not able to breastfeed because it had something to do with slowing down or stopping the milk supply. My question - is this true & to what degree. If true, I would like for you to send me as much information about it so I can present this to my doctor & our lactation department who also said there was no coincedence between the two to her knowledge. Please e-mail me any information to lisa.earl@encode.com ASAP as I have a 6 week check-up on Friday. If that is too soon, I would appreciate any information whenever possible. Thank you so much, Lisa Earl
