low progesteroneFrom: Jenifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 8 May 2001 13:00:20 -0500 (CDT)
I recently have had 2 miscarriages, one in Sept of 2000, again in Feb 2001. This past week, I went in for a prog check at 7 dpo, and the level came back at 7.9, which I know is low. The normal length of my luteal phase is 10 days, and my cycles are 25-27 days. However, my dr does not want to treat the low prog until October, and if I am still not pg, she will then try chlomid. She doesn't seem to hold much faith in pro supplements. My question is this, should I hold much hope for sustaining a pregnancy with my prog level so low, and what is the reasoning behind waiting for chlomid? Are there risks involved, and how does chlomid affect low prog levels? Thanks
