acidophilus during pregnancy

Before I was pregnant, I asked my doctor if it was safe to take acidophilus, which I was taking to keep my yeast infections under control. My doctor said I could take as much as I want, but to stop if I get pregnant. I am now pregnant and had to take antibiotics for BV and believe I am getting a yeast infection again. I would like to eat yogurt, as it is believed to be good food for yeast infections but it has acidophilus. Is it safe to eat yogurt while pregnant? If so, is it safe to take acidophilus capsuls while pregnant?
