Uterine Fibroid/Prolapse

I've been dealing with a large fibroid uterus for a couple of years. Other than occasional heavy bleeding, the only complaint has been the inconvenience of the enlarged uterus...until today, that is, when I found my uterus has prolapsed.

I'd hoped to make it through menopause w/o surgery to see how much the fibroid would shrink, but the prolapse has added a new wrinkle.I still do not want to have surgery and am considering a pessary.

Having read of several complaints following being fitted with the wrong size pessary, I wonder if sizing is a difficult process.

Also, does a pessary affect sexual activity or pleasure?

Thanks in advance for your reply.
