I have been experiencing, since the birth of the my last child almost 3 years ago, a white, very itchy discharge from my urethra, around my clitoris, that extends to my anus. My obgyn has prescribed treatment for yeast and vaginitis, neither of which worked. My last "bout" developed into an UTI. I have given up caffeine and most alcohol. I drink enormous amounts of water and cranberry juice and eat yogurt almost daily...all helps temporarily, but sooner or later the infection is back. Often flares up after sex with my husband or right before my period, but not always. Should I see a urologist, instead of a midwife or an obgyn???

No, the gyn should be the right guy. You may want to see a different one, or ask yours about being on some kind of supressive yeast therapy, like boric acid suppositories.
