Lots of period problems, and other things.

I posted on here a few days ago about have terrible clots in what seems to be my never ending period. Ever since August last year, I have been having light bleeding off and on, and I just assumed it was due to the fact that I have been under A LOT of stress in the past year, which has been the worst year of my life. Well, after I posted about having terrible, huge clots, they just seemed to go away and so did the bleeding for a few days, so I didn't schedule an appointment. But now I am bleeding again, and it is rather light, but it worries me so much. It is effecting my daily routine because I am worried the huge clots will start again when I am not at home, I know I can not put off scheduling an appointment much longer, because I think I might go crazy with all of this worrying, but what I really wanted to ask, I suppose was if emotional stress and pain can be one of the causes of this? I have not told anyone about this because I don't want to burden anyone, and it is getting to me. For some background info : I'm 20, virgin, 30 lbs overweight, and have asthma. I will schedule an appointment today, but I just wanted to ask a few quick questions beforehand. Since I have never been to the gyn and am having this sort of problem, what type of tests, etc. would I have to go through at the beginning to try to pinpoint the problem?

I hope you don't mind any of these questions, I just don't know where else to turn. Thank you so much for all of your help.

Stacey
